run run run

we had our first running club after work today. it was really fun. i started the run by asking the women to reflect on some things: what is my body telling me...how does it feel to run...focus on breathing...focus on your abs or focus on your arms. just listen to your body. we weren't running to run a distance or in a certain time, but running for our bodies. we ran, we walked, we sprinted, we did some stairs.

my favorite part of the run was when we sprinted like we were little kids. liz' laughter was our soundtrack as our legs pounded on the pavement.

it was fun to run together. i loved it.
