there's a secret tree

there's a secret tree that beckoned me, brittany and marcia. this tree is located in the yard of a local church. we went to this church because 1) my trunk was open 2) we wanted to check out this labyrinth and 3) marcia and brittany's apartment was being shown at 2.

we sat on a bench and relaxed in an unusual cool summer afternoon. brittany's foot was stepped on by marcia. we laughed. we sat. and enjoyed the cool weather.

then we heard the call of this sweet tree. well. there was another tree that tried to call us but no one of us could respond. it was too tall. so. the second tree became our friend and fortress. there were different roars and calls sent out from the branches...some senior pictures taken. all in the embrace of the tree. cares, worries, frustrations were sent away into the leaves where they rested and were dismissed with the wind.

we were kids again. though we weren't the most limber kids. but we were kids. and it was a beautiful saturday.
