Today I'm thankful for our garden. I planted basil, peppers, rosemary, tomatoes and mint.
Our mint is going crazy.
Each time I water our garden or walk through it...I'll rub my hands on the basil...basil has an unmistakable scent. After the basil I'll touch the tomato plants. It doesn't take much for the tomato plants to offer a pretty strong aroma. And I love the smells.
Basil and tomatoes have a really strong presence and always sorta scream summer.
I'm happy for our garden.

Oh, that is so great! My little urban windowsill basil struggled and then died. :( Makes me dream of having my own garden and smelling the basil in the afternoon...!
p.s., do you make tea from the mint leaves? When I lived in the Netherlands, it was really popular at cafes to serve tea that (as far as I could tell) was just a glass full of mint leaves with boiling water poured on top.
I have had mint tea like that. I need to do it more often...it's supposed to be a bit chilly this week so I will definitely have to make some!
i always have to touch the basil in my garden when i go by. maybe that's why it's doing better than any of the other plants!
